I had a wonderful time as an artist at Prairie Fest 2017!I enjoyed the interactions I had with the public, other exhibitors and vendors, and those who planned and helped run the event.

It felt like there was a real spirit of relaxed camaraderie, even though I know that logistically, lots of adjustments were needed throughout the weekend–Charissa was a trooper. Savannah and the others were extremely pleasant to work with, too.

Karaoke was lots of fun Friday night; it was a great choice for an activity that brings people together and gives them a positive experience. If I’m not mistaken, it went on much longer than planned, because folks were having such a good time.

Saturday art classes were well attended, and the kids seemed to really like drawing, painting, and getting a chance to throw pottery for the first time.

The Battle of the Bands was very exciting, and made for a nice atmosphere at the event. I enjoyed hearing the music while I painted and chatted with attendees.

I was thrilled to win prize money for my artwork. I made a couple of sales, and I’m pretty sure commissioned pieces will be coming as well.

I will happily participate in Prairie Fest again next year! Thanks so much for the opportunity.
